Hope to see you there! April 4, 2013 Michigan's Pheasant Restoration Initiative got a boost recently as about a dozen volunteers from the Lake Another year - another great banquet. And each year we appreciate all your support - thanks those to donate, those to attend, those who support us in other ways. Thank you all! Below are two of our exceptional volunteers. One being the top raffle ticket seller; the other getting the most donations. Thanks guys! Youth Hunt - Registration Closed Registration of our annual youth hunt is now closed. We are looking forward to the shoot tomorrow! If you have any questions, please email us at washtenawpf151@gmail.com. Action Alert Dear Pheasants Forever supporter, Pheasants, quail and other upland wildlife depend on over 50 million U.S. acres enrolled in federal conservation programs. Packaged into a piece of legislation called the Farm Bill, this backbone of private lands conservation is renewed every five years. The current bill expires next month, and we need your help to get Congress to pass the next Farm Bill now. Our chapter will be hosting its 13th annual youth hunt on September 15, 2012 at a local farm. This is one of our most popular events and usually fills up quickly. If you know a 10-16 year old who would like to experience bird hunting in a fun, exciting, safe, and instructional environment, this is your opportunity. The day opens with clay pigeon practice and shooting instruction, followed by a trip to the field to hunt chukkar partridge behind pointing dogs. There is a dog handler and hunting guide assigned each five member youth group to assure the youth learn how to hunt with a dog and how to find birds.
